About us

Annadata Sukhi Bhavan Samajik Sanstha (Regd.) is an organization that provides food to people who have come from outside the village and are suffering from cancer at Tata Memorial Hospital, Parel. Provides meals every evening to patients and their relatives undergoing treatment. These patients and their families are provided with food during the treatment. The street vendors live on the sidewalks. With the aim of providing them with a home-cooked, fresh, simple meal at least once, this project was started by a young man named Jai Anil Holmukhe in 2013.

Considering the skyrocketing food prices, it is easy to provide at least 125 to 150 people with rice, vegetables and pulses every day there was no. Jay’s mother Savitabai Holmukhe took the initiative to carry out this Shiva Dhanushya. About 12 kg of rice and 6 kg of they make dal amati at home every day. They also make dal dal and chapatis. Jay’s entire family and volunteers and friends who realize the importance of his work do their part in this. Whenever possible, bananas and biscuits are also distributed, which are useful for patients for breakfast in the morning. Volunteers from all over Mumbai arrive at Tata Hospital on the designated day to distribute food. Many young people celebrate their birthdays by donating food. Many families help in this endeavor in memory of their loved ones, but given the increasing number of patients, the donations received from the public are not enough. Help in kind and financial form is accepted and delivered to the patients. We believe that this work is being done through public participation, the institution is just an excuse. However, we request you to contribute generously so that this work does not get interrupted.
